Oregon Getting Millions In Green Energy Tax Breaks

Three companies in Oregon will be getting more than $87 million in tax breaks for renewable energy projects, thanks to  the Energy Department. It’s our state’s share of a $2.3 billion national program. The money is coming from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, better know as the stimulus bill.

The bulk of the money, about $82 million goes to SolarWorld in Hillsboro and will help the company expand its facilities. The Hillsboro operation makes components for solar energy systems.
