Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality heads to Astoria this evening for a public meeting on the Bradwood Landing LNG project. Could be interesting. Oregon’s two Senators are joining forces on a bill that could bring LNG projects in our state to a grinding halt.

Oregon LNG wants the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to drop plans for a series of public meetings in Northwest Oregon. The purpose of the meetings was to hear complaints about how Oregon LNG employees and contractors conducted themselves during a December site visit with landowners along a proposed pipeline route.

Barring any surprises, it appears the Legislature has avoided dealing with LNG issues during the special session. Two bills dealing with LNG have been dropped from the calendar.
