TUESDAY
Thank You Mister Chairman
FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff may be LNG opponents’ new best friend in Washington. He’s voted against all the proposed LNG projects in Oregon, most recently the Jordan Cove LNG proposal near Coos Bay and it’s sister project the Pacific Connector pipeline.
Wellinghoff is in Portland today to address the Green Professionals Conference. If you haven’t registered by now, it may be too late. But you can join the Hey! NW Natural Campaign at 8am for a “thank you rally” at NE 11th & Holladay. That’s right next to the Lloyd Center Max Station.
Wellinghoff speaks to the conference at 8:30am. It’s being held at the nearby DoubleTree Hotel.

North River Reach
The North River Reach is Portland’s controversial plan to improve river habitat on the Willamette from downtown to the Columbia. It calls on businesses along the river to set aside land for habitat when they expand facilities, and to pay into a general restoration fund. The plan is supported by the Willamette Riverkeeper and Audubon Society Of Portland.
The Portland City Council holds a public hearing on the most recent draft proposal from 2pm – 5pm in council chambers at City Hall, 1221 SW 4th Avenue, Room 140.
