A newly formed citizens group rallies this morning outside the headquarters of the Bonneville Power Administration. Called Citizens To Help BPA Find A Better Way, the group wants more time to comment on BPA’s proposed high voltage power line through Clark and Cowlitz counties in Washington.

The city of Portland holds an open house on plans for improvements at Powell Butte Nature Park. This event had been scheduled for the weekend but was changed because of the weather.

Portland Mayor Sam Adams and Washington County Chair Tom Brian will debate the metro region’s Urban Growth Boundary. Washington County is looking at setting aside 34,000 acres of land for future development, the largest amount of the three metro counties which also includes Multnomah and Clackamas.
