The Oregon League of Conservation Voters leads a live blogging event to explain why it’s supporting Measures 66 and 67. These measure appear on January’s special election ballot. One raises taxes on high income Oregonians, the other raises minimum taxes on businesses. OLCV says if these measures fail, Oregon will have less money to spend on such things as renewable energy and monitoring toxic pollution. Viewers will be able to submit questions.

The U.S. Forest Service holds a public meeting on a new trail in the Columbia Gorge at Cape Horn. A user created trail already exists. (I will post something about this issue later Thursday.)
